On Sunday, November 6, 2011, Jamie Dragon of Stowe was named MISS VERMONT USA® 2012. She crowned at the conclusion of the two-day MISS VERMONT TEEN USA® & MISS VERMONT USA® Pageant, which was held at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Burlington, VT.

 

Jamie Lynn Dragon is the 5’8”, blue-eyed daughter of Brent and June Dragon of Milton, Vermont. Jamie is the owner and stylist of Lush Boutique in Stowe. She believes her strongest talent is her work as a hair stylist. She takes her work beyond just a physical transformation; her salon focuses on empowering women and enabling them to feel confident in their own skin. She is actively involved in the community by donating her stylist skills to young girls looking for proper make-up techniques and Women Helping Battered Women. She also volunteers for animal rescue. She looks forward to not only helping grow the Miss Vermont USA Pageant, but also putting Vermont on the map at Miss USA. Her favorite hobbies include running, hiking, yoga, reading and leading a healthy lifestyle. She describes herself as motivated, tenacious and fun.

 

Crowned by Lauren Carter, MISS VERMONT USA® 2011, Jamie will represent Vermont in the MISS USA® 2012 Pageant, which will be televised on the NBC television network.

 

The remainder of the “Top 5” included: First Runner-up Kandi Clark of Bakersfield; Second Runner-up Sara Westbrook of Burlington; Third Runner-up Taylor Marthers of Danville and Fourth Runner-up Catherine Trudell of East Fairfield.

 

Kandi Clark was named both Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality.

MISS VERMONT TEEN USA® 2012

On Sunday, November 6, 2011, Karsen Jaleen Woods of Westford was named MISS VERMONT TEEN USA® 2012. She crowned at the conclusion of the two-day MISS VERMONT TEEN USA® & MISS VERMONT USA® Pageant, which was held at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Burlington, VT.

Karsen Woods is the 5’6”, blue-eyed daughter of Nicole Marabella and Bill Woods. Together they reside in Westford, Vermont. Karsen studies as a junior at Essex High School while also attending Burlington Technical Center specializing in Medical and Sports Science. Her career ambition is to attend premedical school and pursue a career in Physical Therapy with a minor in Special Education. She also wishes to one day possess her own Physical Therapy Practice in order to assist people of all ages to overcome limitations that affect them physically. Karsen believes her one strongest talent is her ability to remain a strong leader under difficult conditions. Karsen’s favorite hobbies include skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, gymnastics and teaching her little sister everything she knows. She describes herself as outgoing, comical and genuine.

 

Crowned by Bridgett Martin, MISS VERMONT TEEN USA® 2011, Karsen will represent Vermont at the MISS TEEN USA® 2012 Pageant.

 

The remainder of the “Top 5” included:  First Runner-up Jillian Berno of Georgia; Second Runner-up Josephine Hudson of Concord; Third Runner-up Hunder Isabella DiGangi of South Burlington and Fourth Runner-up Taylor McAllister of East Bank. 

 

The Semi-finalists were: Erin Connor of Bridport, Kaylie Ann Flannigan of Castleton, Taylor Hough of Rutland, Alexina Federhen of Bennington and Sara Stryhas of Belmont.

 

    Taylor Hough was named Miss Photogenic and Kaylie Ann Flannigan was voted Miss Congeniality.
